EBU Academy Learning and Development Workshop

We are excited to open registration to our annual event for those working in learning and development (L&D) at EBU Members. A chance to network, learn and be inspired.

This year, our community is generously hosted by Portugal's Public Service Media, RTP, at the Lisbon headquarters of RTP Academy.

The event is a mix of presentations and workshops, plus for the first time, as part of an evening dinner, we present awards for achievements in Public Service Media L&D. 

Our programme includes:

  • The demands for leadership education at this time of extraordinary challenge for Public Service Media.
  • An interactive session on young talent – how to find, develop and retain it.
  • A special workshop presented by INA, France’s national audio-visual archive and EBU Associate Member, on the intertwining of archivists’ and journalists’ skillsets.

More sessions will be announced soon.

Three EBU Academy Learning Awards will be presented in the categories of AI education, impact and innovation.  Entries are now closed, with nominations due to be announced in June.

The Workshop runs for 1.5 days, ending with a light lunch on Friday, 23 October, plus a surprise activity for those who choose to stay on Friday afternoon, courtesy of our generous hosts.

Places are strictly limited and on a first-come, first-served basis, so please register ASAP. In the case that registration exceeds event capacity, we may need to limit confirmed places to one per EBU Member organization.
