EBU Academy Learning Awards 2026

Overview

It is time to shine a spotlight on the vital work being done by the Learning and Development (L&D) teams within EBU Member organizations. For the first time, EBU Academy will be recognizing our peers’ achievements by presenting our own awards.

There are two aims of the EBU Academy Learning Awards:

  • To promote the value and impact of L&D within Public Service Media.
  • To reward and showcase the best work within learning and development, inspiring our wider community.

There are 3 categories, with entries judged by an expert panel:

The Innovation Award

This award celebrates a new way/s to deliver learning and development by an EBU Member organization. Whether face to face, online or hybrid, judges will be looking for exciting approaches created to engage learners and bring positive results.

The EBU Academy School of AI Award

This award is given for exceptional work in AI education at an EBU Member organization. Judges will be assessing the breadth of topics covered, proven agility to keep up with demand and developments, and evidence of the results.

The Impact Award

This award recognizes a learning and development activity or series of activities by an EBU Member organization judged to have made the greatest impact. Applicants need to give tangible evidence of the impact of their work and detail how it was achieved.

For each of these categories, written entries are required, explaining why you, your team or project deserve to win. There is a maximum 1,000 word limit per entry. Any supporting audio-visual material or links to web content can be included. Please send a separate email for each award category entered to [email protected]. Please check the additional terms below. Closing date Thursday, April 30th 2026.

Nominees will be announced in September, with winners announced as part of the EBU Academy Learning and Development Workshop 2026 on the evening of Thursday, October 22nd 2026.

Good luck!
