Network and Learn on Journalists’ Safety

Overview

We head to one of the newest Public Service Media buildings in Europe for the latest meeting of those working to protect the safety and security of news crews and others working in PSM.

This time we are guests of Belgium’s RTBF in its brand-new hi-tech, low energy headquarters at Media Square, Brussels.

This is a chance to network, to exchange and to learn. Given its reflection of world events, the programme will be confirmed closer to the time but our previous meeting in April included discussions/guest speakers on drones, the World Cup in N America and Mexico, Gaza, Greenland, Ukraine and Venezuela.

Participants are invited to table agenda items for discussion, with the meeting chaired by Charlie McGrath supported by Caroline Neil who run EBU Academy’s HEST trainings.

A dinner at the end of the first day gives attendees the chance to continue conversations more informally.
